Course Goal

Making the students acquire basic concepts about Economics, analyze the problems and solutions in economic events and understand the macro-economic structure and theorotical basis of Macro Economics and the formation of price in production factors market and in aggregate market

Course Content

Basic concepts related with Economics, Learning basic dynamics of the economic activity, The organization of Economics and the Economic Systems, The formation of the level of supply and demand in accordance with Price Theory, The Concepts about the types of supply and demand elasticity, Analysis of Consumer's equilibrium in accordance with Utility Theory and analysis of equilibrium and types of costs in accordance with Cost Theory, The formation and balance of prices in market, classifying the types of market and making profitability analysis according to the types of market; The production factors and the market of the production factors, The concepts related with National Income and the methods of computation of National Income, Money and the monetary systems, The types of inflation and the methods of struggling with inflation, The politics of employment and unemployment, the economic development and growth and the distribution of income; The assessment of the economic structure of Turkey by analyzing the politics of foreign trade,the balance of payments sheet
