Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge about prenatal monitoring, protection and promotion of fetal health, and determination of risky conditions related to pregnancy, and to enable them to reach the competence to provide health care to women with high-risk pregnancy.
Course Content
Importance of maternal and fetal health in risky situations, risk factors in pregnancy, evaluation of fetal health, pre-existing risky conditions in the mother, prenatal bleeding, pregnancy and hypertensive diseases, diabetes and pregnancy, cardiovascular system diseases and pregnancy, blood diseases and pregnancy, teratogenic infections, early threat of birth, preterm/postterm labor, poly/oligihydramnios, multiple pregnancies, hyperemesis gravidarum, urinary system diseases, thyroid diseases, epilepsy and pregnancy, psychological aspects of high-risk pregnancy.
