Course Goal

To comprehend that the language basically is to convey meaning, all the linguistic and grammatical study is basically semantic working, not in this respect the boundaries of semantics and it is difficult to create a methodology.

Course Content

The location of semantics in gramer and linguistics, to question the definition and meaning of meaning, the meaning-concept relationship, the relationship of semantics with analytical philosophy, J. Trier's Concepts Field Theory, Doğan Aksan' Concepts Area and Words Family Opinion, E. Rosh's Prototype Theory, M. Jhonson and G. Lakoff's theory of metaphor, the semantics of word and semantics of sentence.
