Course Goal

The aim of this course is to learn many physical phenomena occurring in non-linear crystals.

Course Content

Investigation methods of ferroelectric crystals, heat capacity, optics (Raman spectroscopy, Infrared techniques, X-rays), physical properties of ferroelectric materials, basic structure of ferroelectric materials (oxygen octahedral, Tungsten-Bronze type structures), semiconductor ferroelectrics, applications of ferroelectric crystals in technology (Payroelectric detector) , high capacity memory, displages, electro-optical modulator).
