Course Goal

To give general information about the renewable hydrogen technologies and to teach hydrogen production methods of these systems

Course Content

Water electrolysis technologies; Water separation hydrogen production using photo-semiconductor catalysts; Solar thermal water separation; Biomass sources for hydrogen production; Hydrogen production from biomass; Developments in thermochemical processes; Hydrogen from bioethanol; Biological hydrogen production; Developments in microstructure catalytic reactors structured for hydrogen production; Microprocessor technology for hydrogen purification; Improvements in hydrogen separation and purification by membrane technology; Hydrogen storage in carbon materials; Hydrogen storage in complex hydrides; Electrical status and efficiency of hydrogen generation systems; Integration with renewable energies; Recent developments in fuel cells for transport and stationary applications; Update on the progression of hydrogen-fired internal combustion engines
