Course Goal

It is aimed to provide information about the definition, production, classification of ceramics, to teach the raw materials that make up ceramics and the roles of these raw materials, to teach the structure, properties, differences and production of glass and glaze, to teach the place of ceramic and glass technology in the industrial field and the place of ceramics and glass in Turkey.

Course Content

Definition, Structural and Physical Properties of Ceramic, Traditional and Technical Ceramics, Rawmaterials Used to Production of Ceramic Material and Properties and Characterization of These Rawmaterials, Ceramic Prescription Forming, Ceramic Production Processes, Characterization of Ceramic Material, Definiton and Formation of Glass and Frit, Rawmaterials used to Production of Glass, Frit and Glaze, Properties and Characterization of These Rawmaterials, Glass Types, Glass Forming Processes, Glaze Prescription Forming and Glaze Applying Methods, Deformations on the Ceramic, Glaze and Glass and Avoiding Ways of These Defects, Glass-Ceramic Composite Material.
