Course Goal

Learning of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats and understanding of CBRN applications in Forensic sciences

Course Content

Introduction to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats, CBRN history, Chemical agents and their detection, Biological agents and their detection, Radiological events and detection methods, Nuclear events and detection methods, Weapons of mass destruction and crime scene detection, Health and CBRN relationship, Detection, diagnosis and monitoring of CBRN combat agents, CBRN Defense principles and components, Sampling and reporting in CBRN events, Crime scene decontamination practices, CBRN attacks case study
