Course Goal / Objective

To teach the fundamentals of grounding system design, electrical safety, power system grounding and measurement methods.

Course Content

Hazardous of electricity and electrical safety equipment, electrical system safety practices, Safety Procedure and Methods, Safety Management and Organizational Structure, Regulatory and Legal Safety Requirement and Standards, Human Factors in Electrical Safety, Introduction to Computer Methods for Design of Safety Grounding, Power System Grounding: Modeling Techniques, Grounding Design in Low Voltage Systems, Grounding Design in High Voltage Substations, Power System Grounding: Design Procedure, Measurement Practice, Low Voltage Safety Synopsis, Medium and High Voltage Safety Synopsis, Short Circuit Calculations
