Course Goal

Developing a reflexivity about the raw material of cinema beyond being an art and expression form. Handling the cinematographic image with an ontological investigation.

Course Content

Cinema ontology includes inquiries about the origin of cinema. The concept of ontology here should be understood as what cinema is. Questions such as -Is cinema a narrative form consisting of blocks of movement and time- or -Can it be considered separately from our experience- are opened for discussion. The general content of this course includes discussions of questions to be asked in this context.
