Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the drying system and machines that is improtant in textile finishing, the selection of the system in different drying-fixed theory of mechanism and teach things to be done for efficient drying process.

Course Content

Basic Concepts of Drying Process and Heat and Mass Transfer. Determination of Some Properties of Textile Products to be Dryed. Drying Types and Properties Used in Textile Finishing Processes and Their Selection. Alternative Energy Source Dryer Types and Design Criteria. Energy Consumption and Saving Possibilities in Dryers.
