Course Goal / Objective

Learn basic prenciples of quality oconcept in biomass (solid fuel) energy production.

Course Content

Importance of quality concept in biomass energy production, the concept of calorific value and the factors affecting the calorific value, the effects of moisture, ash and mineral contents in biomass on biomass quality, minerals that cause harmful gas emissions, and the effect of cultivation techniques on biomass quality in energy plants will be discussed.
