Course Goal

To gain basic information about the fundamentals of data communication and computer networks, to give the knowledge and skills to choose the cables and hardware used in computer networks and to make connections.

Course Content

Fundamental concepts of data communication, switching, error concepts and coding, concepts of computer networks, network equipment and cables, network types with respect to topologies, wireless networks, computer network model, TCP/IP protocol, network security.
