Course Goal

To be able to apply detailed test and analysis methods about knitting, density, yarn properties, thickness, weight and physical behavior of woven fabrics and to have the knowledge of establishing, operating and managing systems that can realize woven fabric design.

Course Content

Woven construction; plain, twill and satin weave derivatives and composition weaves, double and multi-layered complex structures. Analysis of woven fabrics; determination of weft and warp direction, weft and warp density and fabric weight, determination of weft and warp numbers, curl and shortening ratios, yarn type and mixing ratios, determination of weaving weave.
