Course Goal / Objective
Understands the importance of algae in aquatic ecosystems, evaluates changes in water quality and algae diversity, learns dirty and clean water indicator algae, learns the role of algae in removing pollution and evaluating water quality.
Course Content
Importance of algae, sampling techniques, important diagnostic criteria, algae in different inland water ecosystems, eutrophication, clean and polluted water algae, indicator algae, problems caused by algae, use of algae in monitoring studies
