Course Goal

Introducing the measuring instruments used in cartography and teaching their use.

Course Content

Types of Nivo instruments, making Nivo instruments ready for measurement and determining geometrical heights by using them together with the mira, making theodolite and totalstation instruments ready for measurement and measuring the land detail points by using them together with the reflector, making the GPS instrument ready for measurement and using it with the hand unit. Positioning with the help of satellites, Use of laser measuring instruments, Maintenance and protection of instruments, Recording of measurements.
