Course Goal / Objective

Reproduction is the backbone of small ruminant production and productivity is the key to growth. Reproductive inefficiency is one of the most important causes of economic losses in production. The aim of this course is to transfer the technologies used to increase breeding efficiency and productivity in small ruminants.

Course Content

Information will be given on the anatomy and physiology of reproduction in ovine animals, embryo development, semen collection and evaluation, insemination techniques, in vitro embryo production, superovulation and embryo transfer, transgenic animals and determination of sex.
