Course Goal / Objective

Plant nutrient availability in soils and influencing factors are studied.

Course Content

To study bioavailability of plant nutrients, physical, chemical and physico-chemical mechanisms influencing the bioavailability, and to determine the bioavailabilty. Bioavailability of plant nutrients; physical, chemical and physico-chemical mechanisms that affect bioavailablility; determination of bioavailability in various plant growth mediums; modeling aspects of the plant nutrient uptake and application of the basic knowledge to fertilizer recommendation.
