Course Goal

To learn the basic electronics concepts necessary to understand the operation of modern electronic vehicle control systems - To understand the operation of the engine control system, its objectives and input/output variables, To understand the basic concepts of electronic vehicle stability (stability) control, To learn the basics of the CAN network

Course Content

Electronic Control Unit Architecture for Vehicles, Signal acquisition: A/D and D/A conversion, Power electronics, OBD Diagnostics, UDS Diagnostics, Signal acquisition, basic applications on microcontrollers and power electronics Spark ignition petrol engine control: control modes, introduction signals and control objectives, Open loop and closed loop engine control, ignition timing control, exhaust gas recirculation (basic concepts)
