Course Goal / Objective

Within the scope of this course, the definition of pharmacogenetics, the importance of biotechnology in pharmacogenetic studies, pharmacogenetic tests, the importance of pharmacogenetics in personalized drug therapy, the use of biotechnology in individual drug development, the elucidation of the structure-activity relationship by creating point mutations with recombinant DNA techniques, the teaching of strategies related to gene therapy and pharmacogenetic analysis. is intended.

What is pharmacogenetics, introduction to pharmacogenetics, importance of biotechnology in pharmacogenetic studies, pharmacogenetic tests, importance of pharmacogenetics in personalized drug therapy, biotechnology in pharmacogenetic studies, changes in drug pharmacokinetics due to genetic factors, changes in drug pharmacodynamics due to genetic factors, genetic changes in drug interactions, pharmacogenetics and new drug development , pharmacogenetics and biotechnology in clinical applications, use of biotechnology in the development of individualized drugs, elucidation of the structure-activity relationship by creating point mutations with recombinant DNA techniques, gene therapy and pharmacogenetic analysis.
