Course Goal

Teaching the improvement methods of weak soils in terms of engineering, methods of application and determination of improvement criteria.

Course Content

What is soil improvement, engineering properties of soils, purpose of soil improvement, classification of soil improvement methods, selection criteria of improvement methods as foundation and material. Geotechnical problems and improvement methods in large engineering structures, evaluation of soil improvement results.

Course Precondition

Knowledge of engineering geology, geotechnical and soil mechanics
