Course Goal / Objective
In accordance with the Turkish National Standards of Pre-Graduation Medical Education, the Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine 4th Grade Public Health Training Course aims to get medical doctor candidates to gain knowledge and attitude and a base for prospective behaviour to practise –based on equity– the profession of medicine which provides preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care service to everyone in the community, carried out, at the national level, under the supervision and management of the Public Health General Directorate of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye. The course is the theoretical, basic practice and laboratory applications component of the Public Health internship, which will take place in the 6th year when the candidates will face and serve the community at the field level. With both components, Public Health Training Course aims to raise medical doctors who are able to take part in research, counselling and management duties, in the provision of preventive and curative health services, in the investigation of epidemics, in public health education and in the operation of public health laboratories
