Course Goal

Causing the student to gain knowledge of the relationship of gene and diet, nutritional genetics and epigenetics, single nucleotid polymorphisms, gene examples and disease risks.

Course Content

Beeing able to know and explain the relationship of gene and diet, nutritional genetics and epigenetics, single nucleotid polymorphisms and disease risks, diet, methylation and cancer, Diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, hypertension genetics, dietetics approach to modify cardiovascular biological markers, lactose intolerance, folate metabolism and related diseases, lipid metabolism and known polymorphisms and genes.
