Course Goal
The aim of this course is to comprehend the reasons for the similarities and differences between the alphabet, writing and spelling issues and spelling features in Turkish throughout history.

| LO03 | Knows the runic-based Köktürk (Orhun) alphabet, reads the texts written with it. Writes in transliteration letters. |
| LO04 | Knows Köktürk writing and spelling rules. |
| LO05 | Knows the old Uyghur script and compares it with the Köktürk script. |
| LO06 | Knows the Arabic-based Ottoman Turkish alphabet. Reads and transliterates printed texts written in this script. Can write any text with this alphabet |
| LO07 | Knows, reads and compares the types of calligraphy used in manuscripts in Ottoman Turkish. |
| LO08 | Knows the Cyrillic alphabets used by some of the Turkish tribes outside of Turkey in the 20th century. Summarizes the differences between them. |
