Course Goal

The use of ceramic as a material, its relation with other disciplines, classification of ceramic materials and the recent technological developments in this field.

Course Content

To be able to analyze material requirements related to the production and use of ceramic products, different applications, development, properties and behavior of ceramic materials under various conditions. Investigation of Technical Aspects of Ceramics with a Superior Material, Investigation of the Conformity of Human Function and Senses and Investigation of Recent Technological Developments. Classification of Ceramic Materials: Traditional Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics. Material Selection and Properties of Ceramic Materials in Product Design: Chemical and Physical Properties. Recent Developments in the Ceramic Industry. Relation of Ceramics to Other Disciplines as Materials and Their Reflections on the Final Product.
