Course Goal

It is aimed to introduce basic and modern methods related to materials and manufacturing technologies.

Course Content

Engineering materials such as metals, ceramics, polymers and composites are studied. Information is given about the structures, properties and classification of materials. Traditional and modern manufacturing methods used in the design and manufacturing of products are explained. Within the scope of the course, information is given about the basic principles and applications of traditional manufacturing methods. Additionally, information is given about the basic principles, advantages and disadvantages of modern manufacturing methods.
