Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to teach the points to be considered in setting up camps and choosing a camping site, field techniques according to species, surviving in adverse conditions in open land and how to respond in an emergency.

Course Content

The main materials used in wildlife studies and important points to be considered in the selection of materials, land techniques according to species, the most suitable distances to approach the species according to the periods, the rules to be followed in activities such as wildlife research or bird watching tours, photo safari, before going to the land, during the journey and matters to be considered in the field; Camping and breaking techniques; Matters to be considered in nutrition; Basic survival techniques (navigation, weather forecasting, marking, transfer, feeding in distress, protection techniques); What to do after returning from the field. Traces and signs of wild animals, determination of which animal the traces and signs belong to, tracking of traces and signs.
