Course Goal

Aimed to have knowledge about metals, inorganic compounds and radioactive substances that cause poisoning in animals.

LO01 Gain information about the properties and sources, toxicity, toxicokinetics, mode of action, clinical signs and lesions, necropsy, diagnosis, laboratory analysis results and treatment of metals that cause poisoning in animals.
LO02 Gain information about nitrate, nitrite and salt in feed and feed raw materials, soil and water.
LO03 Explains the properties and sources of nitrate, nitrite and salt, their toxicokinetics, toxicity, mode of action, clinical symptoms and lesions, necropsy, laboratory analysis results and treatment.
LO04 Gains information about accidental poisoning of domestic animals with acids and alkalis, which results in local burning and cauterization.
LO05 Explains the causes of poisoning with acids and alkalis, its mode of action, clinical symptoms and lesions, necropsy, diagnosis and treatment.
LO06 Explains the teratogenic, mutagenic, carcinogenic effects of radioactive substances on living beings and the severe burns that occur due to radiation heat.
LO07 Explains the modes of action of radioactive substances.
LO08 Gains information about the toxic effects of radioactive substances, radioactive radiation emitters and their sources, and naturally occurring radiation emitters.
