Course Goal / Objective
To gain a theoretical perspective on the legal problems of people engaged in agricultural activities in rural areas, both with each other and with the land ownership system; To give information about the land, which is the basic element of agricultural production, and also about the legal regulations related to pasture, water, environment, forestry and agricultural workers.
Course Content
General information on Law and Agricultural Law; Historical development of land law (16-19th century Ottoman and Republican era); Civil law in terms of Agricultural Law (Real right; movable-immovable goods, possession, land registry, property concept, acquisition-loss of immovable property, etc. rules); Law of obligations in terms of agricultural law (rules on product and ordinary rent, tenancy and sharecropping); Within the scope of the main reform studies in our country, expropriation, land distribution (selection of farmers, land width, takeover cost, etc. legal regulations); land consolidation; Misuse of agricultural lands in various countries and legal regulations to prevent this; Rangeland law; water law; Agricultural workers and their working conditions.
