Course Goal / Objective

Importance, cultivation techniques and quality of plants used for pleasure in the world and in our country.

Course Content

The importance of pleasure plants in the country's economy, their botanical characteristics, aroma and quality values, their reaction to environmental conditions and the production and cultivation techniques of some important pleasure plants are discussed in detail.

LO02 Knows the botanical, agricultural and technological characteristics of tobacco types in Turkey and in the World, and our regional tobaccos and their characteristics.
LO03 Knows the morphological, chemical and physical properties of tobacco related to its quality, cultivation techniques specific to tobacco types, different drying and fermentation methods, tobacco technology. Has knowledge of cigarette blends
LO04 Knows the cultivation techniques and aroma properties of hops, anise and star anise plants.
LO05 Have information about the cultivation techniques of tea and coffee plants and the technologies related to the product variety.
LO06 Knows the cultivation techniques and quality characteristics of the cocoa plant and the factors affecting its quality
