Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to gain competence in learning the English meanings of technical terms that are frequently used in the construction industry and mastering the translation technique.

Course Content

This course aims to teach basic professional English terms used in the field of construction engineering. The course covers reading and interpreting technical drawings and projects in English. English terms related to building materials, construction equipment and occupational health and safety are covered in detail. Students are provided with practical skills in writing technical documents and reports, and are provided with the ability to work in international projects. In addition, professional English communication skills are developed by focusing on topics such as job interviews, communication with customers and construction site meetings. In this way, students have the language proficiency to be more effective and successful in the global construction sector.
