Course Goal / Objective

This course aims to examine the relationship between sports and social structures and processes. By addressing the sociological foundations of sports and their connection to gender, race, class, and cultural factors, it seeks to enhance students' critical thinking skills.

Course Content

The content of this course covers the basic concepts of sociology, sociological perspective, the definition, meaning and importance of sports sociology, historical and social development of sports, sports culture, sports and family relationship, the relationship between sports and economy and media, sports sponsorship and branding, fanship and sports, gender and sports.
