Course Goal / Objective

To teach the origin, taxonomy and vegetative and reproductive organs, flowering and fruiting of the grapevine.

Course Content

Grapevine origin and taxonomy, morphology and anatomy of the grapevine, Vegetative organs of the vine: roots, shoots, branches, buds, Generative organs of the vine: flowers, fruits , Grapevines pollination biyology, Floral development cycle: separation periods of morphological and physiological stages, The formation of gender, Pollination, fertilization, seed formation and fruit set, Factors affecting the productivity.
