Course Goal / Objective

It aims to teach in which situations and how mutation breeding and selection breeding methods are carried out in citrus fruit species.

Course Content

Definition of mutation breeding and its usage in citrus breeding, definition and usage techniques of physical and chemical mutagens, establishment of mutant populations, selection criteria and selection of appropriate criteria, citrus selection descriptors, classification of variables examined in selection and evaluation of genotype variables in package programs.
