Course Goal / Objective

Starting with the question -What is an an authentic text-, students get the required information and skills about how to use those texts in class, the difficuities of using them, what criteria has to be used while adapting them for the classroom, and how to prepare original materials to be used in the classroom by themselves.

Course Content

Until now, the teaching of German was generally based on artificial texts. The aim of this course is to enable a more realistic communication with original texts in the foreign language course. It is to provide the teacher candidate with the ability to independently prepare original texts/materials for the lesson.
