Course Goal / Objective

At the end of this course, students will be able to: understand different knitting technologies, recognize different knitted fabrics and to analyze them, identify, analyze, and solve knitting problems and improve knitting efficiency and/or knitted fabric quality.

Course Content

Introduction to knitting technology. Terms and definitions. Analysis of knitted structures. Properties of yarns used in knitted fabrics. Fundamentals of warp-knitting. Faults occurring in weft and warp knitting production and their probable causes.
