Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the field of toxicology, which covers the basic principles of toxicology, the toxic action mechanisms of xenobiotics, target organ toxicity, explanation of cell damage and protection mechanisms, toxicity of the compound group and risk assessment.

Course Content

The content of this course consists of the basic principles of toxicology, factors affecting toxicity, entry routes of toxins, absorption, distribution and excretion, biotransformation of toxic chemicals, toxic effects mechanisms of xenobiotics, application areas of toxicology, risk assessment, environmental toxicology, nanotoxicology and cell damage and protection mechanisms.
