Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to examine the theoretical foundations, implementation, and effects of economic policies. Key topics such as monetary policy, fiscal policy, growth, and development policies will be covered, evaluating the role of the government in economic activities. Students will analyze policy tools related to economic stability, inflation, unemployment, income distribution, and the global economy, gaining the ability to assess current economic developments.
Course Content
Introduction to economic policy, the role of the state in the economy, monetary policy: tools and effects, fiscal policy: taxation and public expenditures, economic growth and development policies, anti-inflation policies, unemployment and employment policies, income distribution and social policies, trade and exchange rate policies, central bank independence and policy effectiveness, globalization and economic policy, sustainable development and environmental economic policies, financial crises and crisis management, digital economy and next-generation economic policies.
