Course Goal / Objective
Microorganism-environment relations will be examined.
Course Content
Major groups of microorganisms in ecosystems, the role of microorganisms in energy transfer in the ecosystem, the effects of microorganisms in the transformation of elements, (biological cycles: carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, and cycles of other elements). interactions between microorganisms and other groups in terrestrial ecosystems (spermosphere, rhizosphere, phyllosphere, litter and their effects).
