Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to gain the necessary basic knowledge, skills and attitudes about the basic concepts and rules in the General Provisions of the Turkish Code of Obligations, which regulates the debt relations between persons, and to develop the ability to use these rules in other areas of private law.
Course Content
The content of this course consists of the provisions between Articles 1 and 206 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098. In this context, contract, tort and unjust enrichment, which are the sources of debt, are systematically discussed and the performance of the debt and the consequences of non-performance are discussed. In addition to these, issues such as the effect of debt relations on third parties, termination of debts and debt relations, special circumstances in debt relations, changes of parties in debt relations are also within the scope of this course.
