Course Goal / Objective

Acquires fundamental knowledge about building acoustics, comprehends the importance of noise in architectural acoustics, understands the effects of noise on the user, obtains information about noise control measures for buildings with different functions and applies this information.

Course Content

Fundamental acoustic terms, basic terms related to reflection-transmission-absorption of sound, noise sources, noise control principles, noise precautions for the functions of buildings, current standards and regulations in force.
