Course Goal / Objective
Understanding the place of the oral history method in the philosophy and theory of history within the framework of the relationship between history, historian and society, becoming aware of the ways of using the method in different research fields, evaluating the opportunities and constraints it will provide, and examining the use of the oral history method in architecture, urbanism, urban design, etc. Providing the necessary information to understand the use of space by disciplines based on space.
Course Content
The content of the course consists of the unique content, potential and limitations of the oral history method in oral history and spatial research, and the use of local history research and oral history method in studies on cities and urban spaces.
