Course Goal / Objective
The main objective of this course is to systematically introduce students to the economics of natural resources. Natural resources are of great importance, especially in the context of commodity markets. Some of the natural resources, especially energy and precious stones and metals, are a very important part of the economic development process within the framework of high economic returns.
Course Content
This course will focus on the complex nature of the relationship between natural resources and the process of economic development in terms of their economic returns. The course will review and analyze the relevant literature, especially the Resource Curse, and will encourage students to pursue intermediate and advanced studies while increasing their knowledge on these issues.
