Course Goal / Objective
The objective of this course is to teach students the fundamental principles of international economics, trade theories, and the economic impact of global trade. Students will understand the role of trade policies, foreign trade, free trade agreements, and globalization on economic growth. Additionally, they will gain comprehensive knowledge of international financial relations, including exchange rate management, tariffs, and trade barriers. The course also aims to provide a deep understanding of the environmental impacts of global trade and the trade policies of developing countries, offering a comprehensive view of the dynamics of international trade.
Course Content
Fundamentals of international economics, trade theories and models, comparative advantage and resource allocation, foreign trade policies and trade barriers, tariffs and subsidies, international financial relations, exchange rates and monetary policy, the impact of international trade on economic growth, globalization and the role of trade, free trade agreements and regional economic integration, World Trade Organization (WTO) and international trade law, trade and developing countries, environmental impacts of international trade, economic crises and global trade.
