Course Goal / Objective
The objective of this course is to teach students the fundamental concepts, practices, and impacts of trade policies in international trade. Students will analyze topics such as trade agreements, tariffs, international trade law, financing, payment systems, and logistics to better understand the dynamics of global trade and its impact on economic growth. Additionally, they will develop a strategic perspective on the future of international trade, considering the rise of digital trade and e-commerce.
Course Content
Fundamentals of international trade, trade policies and tariffs, trade agreements and regional economic integration, World Trade Organization (WTO) and international trade law, financing international trade and payment systems, exchange rates and currency risk management, logistics and supply chain management, cultural and social impacts of international trade, global supply chains and production networks, sustainability of trade and environmental impacts, rise of digital trade and e-commerce, the future of trade and technological innovations.
