Course Goal / Objective
Since the Turkish economy is a country that follows an export-oriented growth model open to foreign markets, there is a great need for trained manpower in these fields. The fact that many graduates of our department are employed in these fields points to the importance of this course. International Trade Practices course offers an organized content to support graduate students' knowledge and career focus on these issues. After summarizing the relevant literature, the course will examine and analyze foreign trade practices and increase the knowledge of students on these issues, while at the same time encouraging them to take steps towards intermediate and advanced studies and entrepreneurship.
Course Content
"International Trade Practices" course can be defined as an advanced course application of the theoretical topics related to foreign trade in the International Economics courses taken by economics students. The course content starts with summarizing the theoretical framework and focuses on foreign trade practices after the first few weeks of lectures. In this course, students are taught how issues such as import, export and customs procedures are carried out and what are the basic principles of these practices within the framework of national and international rules.
