Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide theoretical consideration of the concept of design and to ensure comprehension by evaluating applied examples.

Course Content

The content of this course includes; basic concepts and theories, architecture, human and environment; efforts to create a physical environment, evolution of design in architecture and design strategies, stages and components of architectural design, concept of space and basic elements in its creation, basic elements and criteria in creating a whole by combining spaces, function and whole relationship in buildings, main building evaluation techniques and models, sampling of building evaluation techniques, plan analyses and typology relationships, examination of building types (tourism, management, office, education, health buildings etc.), examination and questioning in multi-faceted examples.
