Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to enable students to discuss urban planning approaches throughout history, to learn about zoning laws and related laws at the urban scale in Turkey, to question the shaping of cities, and to develop their skills in vehicle transportation and parking solutions.
Course Content
The course content includes the evolution of urban planning, prehistoric civilizations, ancient, medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and industrial revolution cities, modern, post-modern and sustainable urban planning, Ottoman cities, urban planning in Turkey, the concept of zoning and legal regulations, transportation and parking solutions.
