Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to develop the sensitivity to protect historical and cultural values, to transfer the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to prepare survey and restoration projects through applications, to discuss the concept of conservation, the development of conservation thought, conservation approaches, to gain the knowledge and skills to prepare the survey and restoration projects of a selected building.

Course Content

The content of the course includes; introduction to the concept of conservation, development in the historical process, laws and regulations related to conservation in Turkey, conservation at the single structure scale, restoration techniques, survey techniques, and survey work.
