Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students of the Department of Architecture with the necessary knowledge and skills in environmentally sensitive building design.

Course Content

Definition of ecology in architecture, examination of ecological design principles in contemporary designs, reuse of ecological elements in old buildings, examination of ecological principles in the design of smart buildings, consumption of natural resources, environment and human health, ecological materials, principles and strategies of use of ecological materials, examination of domestic and foreign examples and investigation of the possibilities of the principles of use of contemporary construction elements in ecological design.
