Course Goal / Objective

The aim is to provide students of the Department of Architecture with theoretical approaches and information and to provide them with comprehension skills that will enable them to analyze the place and value of the changes in the social, economic and cultural environment that prepared today's architecture, the thought and philosophical structure of the era, literature and other artistic understandings in the formation of architectural products.

Course Content

The content of this course consists of the architectural environment from the industrial revolution to the present day, architectural movements that emerged and developed depending on newly developed technologies and materials, the philosophical views of the architects who created the structures, and the theoretical background.
