Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to teach the effects of culture on health, the use of intercultural nursing models, the integration of cultural competence into nursing education and practice, and the ability to provide nursing care appropriate to different cultures.
Course Content
The concept of health, disease, and culture; cultural factors affecting health and disease; the relationship between religion, health, and culture; the definition, purpose, importance, and historical development of intercultural nursing, cultural competence and development process, intercultural nursing models and their areas of use, different cultures in the world, It covers different cultures and health approaches in Turkey, cultural diversity and health practices in Turkey.
